Located at 305 Titusville Rd, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603, Dental Arts of the HV operates as a dentist serving Poughkeepsie in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
Hours are published for 4 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 amβ4 pm. It is closed on Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Dental Arts of the HV at (845) 471-4115; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, dentalartshv.com.
With 3.6 out of 5 on Google from 19 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for dentists in Poughkeepsie. Recent reviews are the best guide.
Poughkeepsie is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Poughkeepsie follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Dental Arts of the Hudson Valley is the Premier Dental Office in the Hudson Valley! Dr. Cohn is wonderful! Bernadette is wonderful as well. Everyone there is outstanding! I am happy to be able to leave a review to post. Thank you Dr. Cohn for your good work! Kind regards, Herman Figueroa

I have nothing but nice things to say about Dr. Cohn and her whole staff. I returned as a patient recently after skipping dental care through the pandemic, and I so appreciate the compassionate care I received. Dr. Cohn's straightforward, no-nonsense approach is just my style. Both she and her hygienist made me feel hopeful about my dental health without feeling judged. I would (and have) recommend Dr. Cohn to a friend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cohnβs since she took over Dr. Kaniaβs practice! Dr. Cohn and her staff are very professional, friendly and explain, in detail, any and all procedures! She and her staff are, also, very accommodating, when it comes to an emergency appointment! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable in her work, she is also very warm and friendly. She may be my dentist but, when I arrive, she always makes me feel welcome! Thank you, Dr. Cohn and Staff, for all you do! π

Dr Cohn has two listings on Google, I assume to try and help hide some of the bad reviews. Other dental professionals have subtly let me know that Dr Cohn is shady at best, and is facing legal action from patients or other dentists, I'm not sure which. It doesn't surprise me at all based on my family's experiences with her and her office. They will bill you incorrectly, and ignore your concerns. In my case, I had recently moved to the area and my insurance doesn't cover x-rays back-to-back (makes total sense), but rather than inform me and make them optional, they did x-rays and billed me for them. I could never do that in good faith if I were in the profession. And my family member nearly lost a tooth after poor work done by Dr. Cohn, ultimately requiring the work of a surgeon. If you care about your dental health and honesty, do not support this business.

I went to Dr. Cohn for a consultation and she told me she could help me with my complex upper teeth. I had a protruding front tooth that seemed to glow in every photo! Thanks to Dr. Cohn, I can now smile after 15 years of hiding in the background! She did the most beautiful crowns on my teeth that have made my smile beautiful. Her staff is also fabulous! Looking forward to having more work done!
